Chemistry makes no sense. As much as chemists love to say this subject makes the world make sense, it does not. It makes everything go from simple and easy to understand, to complex and confusing and annoying and pointless and it makes you want to cry because you think you start to understand atomic orbitals but then they say that even though the D orbital block is in the 4th period it says no hey it’s not gonna be 4d6 it’s going to be 3d6 because we subtract one but we’re not going to tell you why we subtract one. We’re just going to say that we do it because that’s just the way things are Kim and chemistry hates you and you will never understand.
